This free tool is a 4-page Excel based self-assessment against 35 key characteristics of a healthy organisation.

Divided into the 5 sections of Leadership, Teamwork, Structure, Culture and Strategy, the self assessment allows you to assess your own organisation. Read the two descriptions on either side of the scale and mark where you believe your organisation sits between these two extremes. If you are very close to the description on the left, mark your score as 1,2 or 3. If you are very close to the description on the right, mark your score as a 8,9 or 10. If you are somewhere in the middle, a 4, 5, 6 or 7 may be appropriate.

Try to consider how the business as a whole would behave, rather that how you personally think or behave. Remember also this is not a scientific assessment, its purpose is to get a feel of where your organisation is strong, and where it needs some help.

Transferring the score on the scale to the column on the right will produce a graph on page-4 that will give you a picture of the health of your organisation.

You may also find different people completing the test have different views, and if so, you have already begun to identify some areas where Clarity is needed.
